WZL of RWTH Aachen University
For decades, the Machine Tool Laboratory WZL at RWTH Aachen University has been synonymous worldwide with successful and forward-looking research and innovation in the field of production technology. With the Chair of Production Engineering, the WZL brings to the research project in-depth expertise in the fields of toolmaking, digitization, product data and product life cycle management, design of efficient value-added structures, adaptation of production systems and optimization of assembly processes.Consequently, at the beginning of the research project, the WZL takes over the development of new, application-specific remanufacturing concepts. In the further course of the research project, the conception of an evaluation model with regard to the developed and implemented remanufacturing measures is carried out in cooperation with the IPEM chair. In the role of the consortium leader, the WZL also leads the project management and the documentation of the research project.
