Achenbach Buschhütten, based in Kreuztal, Germany, is a globally active system supplier of non-ferrous metal rolling mills and foil cutting machines (OPTIFOIL®) for the non-ferrous metal and finishing industries. The 100% family-owned company is the world market leader for aluminium fine strip and foil rolling mills (OPTIMILL®), rolling mill automation (OPTIROLL®) and rolling oil fine filtration systems (OPTIPURE®). To ensure the transfer of scientific theory into economic practice, Achenbach Buschhütten GmbH & Co. KG participates in the research project alongside the two research institutes. Achenbach Buschhütten is involved in the project from the beginning and is responsible in the third work package for the construction of an investment good with integrated sensor technology as a demonstrator.
